Tomlinson Farms and Struttin’ Up Farms

Zan Tomlinson—with wife Mary Adele, kids Eli and Mazie, and invaluable employees— operates Tomlinson Farms, started by his father and grandfather, and Struttin’ Up Farms, which he founded in the late 2000s. The family’s relationship with Prestage Farms dates to 1996, when Zan’s parents started raising turkeys to diversify their farm. Today, under Zan’s careful management, the two farms raise birds in 16 grow-out houses. The farm diversification and steady income made possible by contract turkey production has, as Zan says, “allowed me to do what I love to do, and that is farm.”
